Description:
This subject presents basic and up-to-date information about electron microscopy. Different materials investigation problems are introduced, where electron microscopes are used. Students meet different electron microscopes, learn how they work in image formation as well as in diffraction mode, how electron optics helps the image formation. Practical training is also supported by the Philips XL-30 scanning electron microscope of the Department.
